Blue Skies
Call on my door, but no one’s home
Gaze through the window, only ghosts haunt the room
Slip down the hallway of a broken past
Lipstick on the mirror of shattered glass
But on the outside it’s all blue skies
Take a look through my eyes and you’ll see what’s inside
Chasing after shadows that lead to nowhere
How could anybody know?
Why would anybody care?
Brush through the cobwebs of a distant memory
The dim light is blinding, forcing me to see
Sheets torn and tattered with forgotten lust
All scars of my, scars of my mistrust
But on the outside it’s all blue skies
Take a look through my eyes and you’ll see what’s inside
Chasing after shadows that lead to nowhere
How could anybody know?
Why would anybody care?
